Valdosta movie going national
Valdosta - A movie filmed in Valdosta is set to be distributed nationally, and now filmmakers are
already planning a second movie.
Valdostan Roy Kirkland wrote "And, There You Are" about a relationship that went sour.
When he teamed up with Director Doug Sebastian and actors from Valdosta State University, the
movie soon came to fruition.
It will be released nationally October 2 and can be purchased in Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, and
online, an accomplishment this duo only dreamed of.
"We had no idea it would reach national status. Maybe a few local units sold but going national!
That's just mind boggling," Kirkland says.
"It hasn't been released yet and its making sales. That excited me and tells me we are doing
something right," adds Sebastian.
They are now searching for investors and auditioning for their second film, "Grandma's Blessings."
The movie will be about a Valdosta man who inherits a beat-up RV from his grandmother in Texas
and the adventures of driving it back to Valdosta.
